The Last Great Hunt are preparing for a 10 year anniversary production of their multi award winning hit FAG/STAG by Jeffrey Jay Fowler and Chris Isaacs and we are looking to fill the roles of Jimmy and Corgan. This opportunity is paid according to LPA rates.

Jimmy and Corgan are BFFs. Hurtling towards their 30s. Life is filled with a mix of Tinder, Grindr, binge-drinking and half-hearted hook-ups. As the wedding of Corgan’s ex looms and Jimmy’s love life stagnates, the two struggle to get their lives in working order. FAG/STAG is one story, told twice, from the perspective of two (very) unreliable narrators. Brimming with laughs, tenderness and quarter-life-crisis ennui, this is a brutally honest and hilarious exploration of contemporary masculinity and what it means to have a best mate when you’re stuck being your worst self.

Jimmy

Age: 27-29 / Gender: Male / Ethnicity: Open

Description: Jimmy is gay, seemingly confident, and often the more emotionally insightful of the two friends. He uses humor as a shield, masking his deeper insecurities with sarcasm and wit. While outwardly self-assured, Jimmy struggles with loneliness, love, and the pressure to fit into both gay and straight worlds. We are looking for an actor with strong comedic timing, but who can also bring out Jimmy’s underlying vulnerability and depth. The role involves direct audience address, so the ability to engage and connect with the audience is essential.

Corgan

Age: 27-29 / Gender: Male / Ethnicity: Open

Description: Corgan is straight, brash, and more concerned with maintaining his “lad” image than dealing with his emotions. He’s laid-back, occasionally oblivious, and prone to making poor decisions when it comes to relationships. Despite this, Corgan has a deep loyalty to his best friend Jimmy and is ultimately caring beneath his tough exterior. We are looking for an actor who can bring out Corgan’s humor and laddish charm, while also revealing his vulnerability and the unspoken complexities of male friendship. Strong audience engagement skills are a must.
