LONELY CITY
Lonely City is an interactive live film, where the audience star in an over-the-top, gritty noir. Using instructions, the audience audition, read voice overs, act their hearts out and are placed into lush, black and white projection.
It plays freely with the tropes of the genre, following a down and out protagonist in a cruel, busy city who finds bodies starting to pile up around her. It’s underpinned by a charming DIY aesthetic and philosophy and everyone in the theatre plays a role, from leading lady to tiny cameo. It takes our experience in creating interactive shows and live film and combines the two to make an exciting new piece.
Connection is at the heart of the show, with the aim to bond the audience and bind them together in a unique experience. It’s a joyful and thrilling show that explores loneliness and the ties that bind.
